What areas does Jenterra serve?

We are Arizona-licensed and work statewide from our Scottsdale base, with active coverage in Phoenix Metro, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Payson. We don't claim licensure outside Arizona.

Is Jenterra a supplier, an installer, or both?

Both, on every job. We stock the erosion control and stabilization materials we specify and install them with our own certified crews — one point of contact for material and labor.

What is a SWPPP and why does my site need one?

A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) identifies the erosion and sediment control BMPs a site will install, inspect, and maintain under Arizona's AZPDES Construction General Permit. Any qualifying construction site needs one before ground is disturbed.

Do you install and maintain BMPs, or just install them once?

We do both. Initial installation matters, but ongoing inspection and maintenance — especially after monsoon storms — is what keeps a site compliant through the life of the project.

What's different about post-fire erosion control?

Burned soils often become hydrophobic and shed water fast, and there's no root structure left to hold a slope together. Post-fire work prioritizes rapid slope stabilization, mulching, and channel protection ahead of the next storm rather than a standard grading-driven timeline.

Do you work on burn-scar sites before they're fully designed?

Yes — post-fire slopes often need interim stabilization before a full design is finalized, since the exposure window to the next rain or snowmelt event is short.

How does dust control work in Maricopa County?

Maricopa County's Rule 310 requires a dust control permit and an on-site dust control plan for earthmoving activity. We apply plant-based suppressants and mechanical controls sized to satisfy that plan without leaving residue that complicates later landscaping.

Do dust control rules apply outside Maricopa County?

Yes, in different form. Coconino, Yavapai, and Gila counties run their own grading and stormwater permitting, and every qualifying site statewide falls under ADEQ's AZPDES Construction General Permit regardless of county.

What materials do you stock and install?

Plant-based dust suppressants, geocells, coir erosion control blankets, geosynthetics, geogrids, wattles, and related erosion control and ground stabilization products — see our Materials pages for full specifications.

Can you match a material to a difficult soil type, like decomposed granite or cinder?

Yes — soil behavior drives our material selection. Loose granitic or cinder soils typically need deeper-keyed blankets or geocell rather than lighter matting that works fine on cohesive clay.

Is Jenterra a certified DBE/SBE firm?

Yes. Jenterra is a woman-owned, Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) supplier and installer, which we can document for projects with participation goals.

Can you support public or federally-funded projects with DBE/SBE goals?

Yes — we regularly supply and self-perform work on projects that require documented DBE/SBE participation, and can provide certification documentation on request.

How do I get an estimate?

Do you work on both residential and commercial sites?

Yes — subdivision and residential grading, commercial pads, solar and utility corridors, and public infrastructure are all within our regular scope.

What happens if a BMP fails mid-project?

Because we stock our own materials, a failed silt fence or torn wattle typically gets repaired or replaced from our own inventory rather than waiting on a third-party supplier.

Do you handle revegetation after grading is complete?

Yes — hydroseeding and native revegetation are part of our standard scope for reaching final stabilization on graded sites, especially where erosion control blankets alone won't hold long-term.
