Excavation & mass earthwork
We move material at volume — stripping, bulk cut and fill, over-excavation and replacement, basin excavation, and trenching — with owned equipment and operators who work to a staked or model-driven plan rather than eyeballing it.
Cuts, fills & compaction
Fill is only as good as the lift discipline behind it. We place in controlled lifts, moisture-condition where the material needs it, and compact to the specified density so the section performs under load instead of settling later.
Why grade tolerance matters
A tenth of a foot in the wrong direction is the difference between a pad that drains and a pad that ponds. We work to tolerance, verify it, and hand over ground that behaves the way the plan intended.
Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between rough and finish grading?
- Rough grading gets the site to approximate elevations and drainage patterns, moving the bulk of the material. Finish grading dials the surface to final tolerance for paving, footing, or landscape. Most projects need both, in that order.
- How do you handle hard or rocky ground?
- We assess the material before we commit to a method, then rip, hammer, or over-excavate as conditions require. Hard material is often an asset once it's shaped and compacted correctly rather than something to haul off.
- Do you work from engineered plans?
- Yes. We build to the engineer's plan and tolerance, coordinate with your surveyor, and flag conflicts in the field before they become change orders.
