Detention Basins & Channels
When the water has to go somewhere, we build the somewhere. Detention and retention basins, channel bed and bank stabilization, storm drainage, and culvert outfalls — shaped, lined where needed, and built to carry the flow.

Basins
Excavation, shaping, side-slope stabilization, outlet structures, and access — built to design volume so the basin performs and stays maintainable.
Channels & outfalls
Bed and bank stabilization, transitions, culvert inlets and outfalls, and energy dissipation where velocity would otherwise scour.
Lining & armoring
Where infiltration or scour is a concern, we install liners, turf reinforcement, or geocell armoring rather than defaulting to imported rock.
Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between detention and retention?
- A detention basin holds runoff temporarily and releases it at a controlled rate. A retention basin holds it until it infiltrates or evaporates, with no surface outlet.
- Do you line basins and channels?
- When the design calls for it, yes — geomembrane and geocomposite liners, turf reinforcement mats, or geocell armoring depending on the goal.
- Can you stabilize an existing channel?
- Yes. Reshaping, toe protection, and bank armoring on an existing channel is common work for us.
