What is a dry well and when do I need one?
A dry well is a subsurface chamber or aggregate pit that collects runoff and lets it infiltrate. It's useful where there's nowhere to discharge water on the surface and the soil can accept it.
How do you size a swale or channel?
By contributing area, expected flow, slope, and soil. We build to the engineer's sizing where there is one, and flag it when field conditions don't match the assumption.
Can permeable systems reduce runoff?
Yes — infiltrating on site reduces the volume and peak leaving the property, which often eases downstream and compliance pressure.
